Monster Hunter Generations Guild 2 Key Quests

Monster Hunter Generations Guild 2 Key Quests Average ratng: 3,5/5 3960 votes

Advanced Quests are a special type of quest. Most of them involve hunting multiple monsters in combinations of back-to-back hunts and double hunt followed by single hunt. Several of them here have monsters scaled to High Rank stats instead of the usual Low Rank, which is what village comprises of. And quite a few of them have monsters scaled even beyond what the Hunter’s Hub High Rank provides, giving you quite the challenge (and for those multimonsters quests, several of them require you to fight two simultaneously…because why not?). Please make sure you have the appropriate gear because unless you are a genius savant, you will be cruelly defeated.

Jul 20, 2016 MONSTER HUNTER GENERATIONS (MHGen): This content is Guild Hall Key Quests list. Also you can go clear main story quests by MHGen if you can see. This is the Guild Hall key quests information. Then the Key quests name, the target and tips is written.

If you don’t see these appear, it’s either one of these two reasons:

  1. It just isn’t on rotation. Advanced Quests will randomly appear depending on the 'day'. If what you see isn’t what you want, do a quest and see if it comes back.

  2. You haven’t unlocked it yet altogether. Several of these Advanced Quests are tied to Hunter’s Hub quests or, more commonly, your actually Hunter’s Rank . So if you’re not seeing quests you want, go to Hunter’s Hub and rank up by completing the key quests in each tier. You’ll definitely want to work your way up to High Rank to see a good majority of these.

  1. A lot of the Gathering Hall quests to unlock stuff are key quests. Kind of sad to learn that not every monster in the game can be fought in its own guild quest (if I am understanding correctly?). Jask Not as active as before. A subreddit dedicated to the Monster Hunter series of video games, including things like.

  3. Sep 07, 2018  Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, on the other hand, fits squarely in line with previous Monster Hunters. The game won't usually tell you what your key quests are, and it's mostly up to you to.

Don’t worry, this page will detail to you all the requirements for each quest!

Advanced: Fungus Fetchin

Objective: Deliver 20 Unique Mushrooms

Location: Misty Peaks

Subquest: None

Notes: You need to complete the 5-star Hunter’s Hub quest 'Liver and Let Die' to unlock this quest. This quest is unstable and Rathian, Nargacuga, or Deviljho could spawn on you. Complete this quest to reward yourself with the Tanzia Sweetheart as a potential Housekeeper.

Advanced: Jurassic Treasure

Objective: Hunt a Glavenus

Location: Jurassic Frontier

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this quest, you need to complete the 4-star village quest 'Jurassic Treasure: The Bug' and then also get your Hunter Rank up to HR7 (well into Hunter’s Hub High Rank). From these requirements you can probably tell: this is a High Rank Glavenus and its stats are beefed up to represent that! Complete this quest to receive the Kingmeat, a key item to let you craft the special Hammer Enormous Ham.

Advanced: Sly Swooper

Objective: Hunt a Yian Garuga

Location: Verdant Hills

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this quest, get to HR5 in the Hunter’s Hub. Then, chat with Kokoto Village’s Dundorma Guardsman (the guy with the huge lance). Completion of this quest rewards you with a few armor sets: Guardian and Guardian U. You’ll also unlock the Lance Guardian Lance and you’ll unlock a new 6-star village quest: 'Advanced: Invisible Thief'.

Advanced: Invoking Rath

Objective: Hunt a Rathalos and a Rathian

Location: Verdant Hills

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this quest, get to HR8. That’s the top end of Hunter’s Hub High Rank, so this quest is pretty difficult! Completing this quest will rewards you with the EX Rathalos Ticket. Now you can forge the EX Ratahlos armor set!

Advanced: Seismic Scares

Objective: Hunt 2 Tigrex

Visual studio 2012 express product key generator. Location: Jurassic Frontier

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this quest, complete the HR7 Hunter’s Hub Quest 'Tigrex, Tigrex, Burning Bright'. Then, you need to have at least 1,500 Bherna Points (a.k.a complete enough village requests to accumulate 1,500 Wycademy Points that came from Bherna requests). You’ll be rewarded with the EX Tigrex Ticket S to forge the EX Tigrex S armor set. And you get the Felyne gear F Felcote’s Coat .

Advanced: Twinkle Toes

Objective: Hunt a Duramboros

Location: Misty Peaks

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this quest, complete the 6-star village quest 'Advanced: Seeing Red'. Duramboros is an enormous health sponge and is also pitifully weak to poison. Slices through his health like a knife through butter and will help you keep damage up since he’s charging all the time. Completion of this quest rewards you with the 7-star Hunter’s Hub quest 'The Marshlands Nightmare' and the Hammer Portsmark can now be crafted.

Advanced: Seltas Queen

Objective: Hunt a Seltas Queen

Location: Primal Forest

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this quest, get to HR6 in the Hunter’s Hub. Seltas Queen is always accompanied by her male counterpart, Seltas, whom she can summon and control at will to augment her attacks. If you kill Seltas she can dig up/summon another whenever she wants, so just pretend that Seltas is kind of 'part of her' since that’s what he will eventually become. Poor Seltas.

Complete this quest to unlock the 6-star village quest 'Advanced: Barrage of Blue'.

Advanced: The Goliaths

Objective: Hunt all large monsters (Tigrex, Rathalos, Glavenus)

Location: Jurassic Frontier

Subquest: Earn 700 Wycademy Points

Notes: To see this quest, get to HR7 in the Hunter’s Hub. You also need to complete the 3-star village quest 'Moofah Must-haves' for some reason. Then, chat up the Reliable Village in Bherna Village. Completing this quest unlocks Ancient Armor for your hunter. You are also given the Stargazer Flower to make Edel and Edel S armor sets for your hunter, along with the Bow Ivory Bow. For your Palico, they get F Edel and F Edel S armor and the F Edel Rod and F Edel Rod S weapons.

Advanced: Barrage of Blue

Objective: Hunt all large monsters (Arzuros, Malfestio, Zamtrios)

Location: Arena

Subquest: None

Notes: Complete the 6-star village quest 'Advanced: Seltas Queen' and this quest will unlock. How blue! Complete this quest to unlock the 6-star village quest 'Advanced: Seeing Red'. You’ll also get to forge the Blue Guild armor set.

Advanced: Seeing Red

Objective: Hunt all large monsters (Volvidon, Daimyo Hermitaur, Rathalos)

Location: Arena

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this quest, complete the previous 6-star village quest 'Advanced: Barrage of Blue'. This quest, when completed, will unlock the 6-star village quest 'Advanced: Twinkle Toes'. You’ll also unlock the ability to craft the Red Guild armor set for your hunter!

Advanced: Nothing is Sacred

Objective: Slay a Shagaru Magala

Location: Sanctuary

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this quest, you’ll need to be HR7 in the Hunter’s Hub, and you have to have completed the 4-star village quest 'Hunt-a-thon: Gendrome' and the 3-star Hunter’s Hub quest 'Topple the Monarch'. Then, speak to the Caravaneer in Bherna Village.

Advanced: Snowtal Recall

Objective: Slay a Kushala Daora or repel it

Location: Arctic Ridge

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this quest, you’ll need to be HR35 and have completed the village request chain from the Jumbo Chief. If you cannot deal enough damage by the time 50 minutes is up, don’t give up! If you’ve dealt enough damage, Kushala Daora will instead flee. You won’t get any carves, but you will get rewards and it will count as quest clear.

Advanced: Invisible Thief

Objective: Slay a Chameleos or repel it.

Location: Verdant Hill

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this quest, you’ll need to be HR35 in the Hunter’s Hub and completed the Dragonwatch Liason’s quest line.

Advanced: Teostras Return

Objective: Slay a Teostra or repel it

Location: Volcano

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this quest, you’ll need to be HR35 in the Hunter’s Hub and then complete the Armory Granny questline.

Advanced: Might is Right

Objective: Hunt all large monsters (Rathalos, Yian Garuga, Tigrex, Nargacuga, Zinogre)

Location: Arena

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this quest, you need to complete all the village quests. This excludes the Advanced and Prowler quests. Note that these monsters are beefed up to High Rank and it is possible to unlock this quest while still having Low Rank gear if you haven’t been doing Hunter’s Hub.

Advanced: State in Flux

Objective: Hunt all large monsters (Blangonga, Lagiacrus, Brachydios, Gore Magala, Seregios)

Advanced: The Fields a Stage

Objective: Hunt all large monsters (Gammoth, Mizutsune, Astalos, Glavenus)

Location: Arena

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this quest, you need to complete 'Might is Right' and 'State in Flux'. You will be fighting Gammoth and Mizutsune simultaneously, followed by Astalos and Glavenus. You thought 'The Fated Four' was too easy? Well, here you go. You asked for it!

Advanced: Wrath of Rath

Objective: Hunt a Silver Rathalos and a Gold Rathian

Location: Arena

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this quest, you need to have earned more than 1,500 Kokoto contribution points. Every time you complete village requests from villages you earn contribution points you can check in your Hunter’s Notes! You will be fighting Silver Rathalos and Gold Rathian at the same time.

Advanced: The Golden Pair

Objective: Hunt 2 Rajang

Location: Arena

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this quest, you need to have earned more than 1,500 Pokke contribution points. Every time you complete village requests from villages you earn contribution points you can check in your Hunter’s Notes! You will be fighting both Rajang at the same time. Smoke Bombs, anyone?

Advanced: Out of the Fry Pan

Objective: Hunt all large monsters (Deviljho, Tigrex, Nargacuga)

Location: Arena

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this quest, you need to clear all the village quests excluding Advanced and Prowler quests. You also need to have earned more than 1,500 Yukumo contribution points. Every time you complete village requests from villages you earn contribution points you can check in your Hunter’s Notes!

This quest will face you off with Deviljho first, and then you must fight Tigrex and Nargacuga at the same time. Good luck.

LATEST UPDATE: Just got my Japanese copy of Monster Hunter X so I've started a Monster Hunter X Key Quests Guide! As for previous updates, I posted a guide on how to unlock every guild quest monster from low rank to G-rank via the Everwood. Make sure to check it out if you haven't unlocked all the guild quest monsters yet! Now on to the Key Quest guide.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE

A wise person once said, 'Haste makes waste.'

That is, unless you've played the Japanese version of the latest Monster Hunter game to death like I did and now need to blaze through your village/caravan and gathering hall quests to reach the endgame quickly in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Maybe it's your first crack at the latest game in the series but you still want to progress in a jiffy.

Then it becomes 'He who strikes first, wins.' Just ask Charlie 'Tigrex Blood' Sheen.

For newcomers to the game, you don't have to finish every quest to unlock the next rank or batch of missions in Monster Hunter. Instead, you can finish what are called 'key quests' to unlock the next set of missions right away.

If you're in a rush to get to 10-star village/caravan quests or those tougher Gathering Hall missions to be able to craft better gear, here's a list of key quests to speed up your progress.

MORE GAMES AND GADGETS: Catch up on the latest technology features and reviews at the Technobubble hub

CARAVAN AND VILLAGE QUESTS

These refer to the campaign mode of the game, which progresses the story. Monsters are not quite as tough as they are in online/multiplayer mode but you have to solo them.

LOW RANK

1-star

Steak Your Ground

Deliver 1 Well-done Steak or Rare Steak

A Winning Combination

Deliver 1 Mega Potion

Subquest: Slay 3 Jaggi

— Pretty basic stuff. Just talk to your caravan leader, the hat maniac to unlock. No, your goofy little hat ain't worth risking my life by jumping onto a Dah'ren Mohran. But, hey, I'll do it anyway.

2-star

Ancestral Steppe Fungus Run

Deliver 5 Unique Mushrooms

Sub: Deliver 1 Choice Mushroom

Den Mothers

Slay 5 Jaggia

Kelbi Cure-All

Deliver 3 Kelbi Horns

Sub: Slay 8 Kelbi

— These quests are unlocked once you finish 'A Winning Combination.'

Chip Off the Old Blockade

Slay 8 Konchu

— Unlocked by finishing any of the quests mentioned above.

The Stinking Seltas

Hunt a Seltas

Sub: Break the Seltas's horn

— Unlocked by finishing 'Chip Off the Old Blockade.' Finishing this mission upgrades your grain/bread and vegetable ingredients at the canteen. For the full scoop, check out my MH4U Canteen Food Ingredients Upgrade Guide. It also unlocks expeditions, which lets you do free hunts in the Everwood. To progress further, you'll need to do two expeditions: Kill Velocidrome and Kill Yian Kut Ku. These unlock:

Urgent Quest: Swing Into Action

Hunt a Kecha Wacha

Sub: Topple monster while mounted

— Finish this 3-star quest and you unlock the 3-star caravan/village quests.

3-star

Boulder-bash

Hunt a Tetsucabra

Sub: Wound the Tetsucabra's jaw

— Unlocked after finishing 'Swing Into Action.'

Shipshape Skin

Hunt a Gypceros

Sub: Wound the Gypceros's crest

— Unlocked after finishing 'Boulder Bash.'

Road Work

Capture a Gendrome (Village: 3 Star)

Sub: Slay 5 Genpreys

— Unlocked after finishing 'Shipshape Skin.' Finish this to trigger:

Urgent: Nerscylla Thrilla

Hunt a Nerscylla

Sub: Break Nerscylla's poison spikes.

— Finish this to unlock 4-star caravan/village quests.

Before going further, I also noticed one more urgent pop up while I was doing 3-star quests. I believe this appeared after I finished 'Kecha Wacha Wallop,' which is not considered a key quest.

Urgent: Research Basarios

Hunt a Basarios

Sub: Topple monster while mounted

— Makes Basarios show up in the Everwood.

4-star

Pink Stink

Hunt a Congalala

Sub: Wound the Congalala's comb

— Maybe I was just sleep-deprived, but I could've sworn this was called 'Wild Palico Panic' when I first tried it. Anyway, now it says 'Pink Stink' in my mission board so 'Pink Stink' it is.

An Ice Surprise

Hunt a Zamtrios

Sub: Wound the Zamtrios's top fin

— I could've sworn this one was named 'Meownster Hunt Havoc' the first time I did it, too. Seriously, I think I'm losing my mind. Maybe I already did.

Najarala Hunt

Hunt a Najarala

Sub: Wound the Najarala's back

— Take down this snake in the grass and you'll get an emergency Gore Magala expedition if I remember correctly. Repel that sucker and you should unlock:

Urgent: Tipping the Scales

Hunt Gore Magala

Sub: Wound Gore Magala's feelers

— Gore! Gore! Gore! With apologies to JR's Barbecue Sauce. Bring down the flagship monster and say hello to 5-star quests.

5-star

Major Miner Problem

Hunt a Gravios

Sub: Wound the Gravios' chest

— Hello, big guy. Just bring him down, baby

Advanced: Odd Ape Out

Hunt a Congalala

Sub: Break the Congalala's claw

— I was reading a Japanese forum once and some dude didn't even mention him by name and just said 'that filthy ape.' I don't know why but that made me laugh. Yes, I'm easy to please.

Now do two of the following quests:

Zinogre Zone

Hunt a Zinogre

Sub: Wound the Zinogre's head

The Royal Guard

Hunt a Seltas Queen

Sub: Hunt a Seltas

King of the Skies

Hunt a Rathalos

Sub: Sever the Rathalos' tail

This will unlock:

Advanced: Tigrex Terror

Hunt a Tigrex

Sub: Break the Tigrex's claw

— Tigrex, he's grrrreat. At unlocking the next quest:

6-star

Urgent: Advanced: Heaven's Wheel

Slay Shagaru Magala

Sub: Break Shagaru Magala's horns

— Finish Gore Magala's true form after shedding its skin and you're on the fast track to high rank questing.

HIGH RANK

7-star

Skiff Scuttler

Hunt a Daimyo Hermitaur

Sub: Break D. Hermitaur's claw

— I was in a rush to go through quests so I waltzed into this quest while still using a bone weapon. Can you say Bounce City?

Hot-air Buffoon

Hunt an Emerald Congalala

Sub: Deliver 1 Territorial Dung+

Facility Facilitation

Hunt a Cephadrome

Sub: Hunt 6 Cephalos

Hunt-a-thon: Nerscylla

Hunt 2 Nerscylla before time expires or deliver a Paw Pass ticket

Sub: Deliver 1 Queen Substance

These missions will unlock:

Urgent: Skiff Competition

Hunt a Monoblos

Sub: Break the Monoblos's horn.

— Charge! Have fun Guard Point masters. Oh yeah, welcome to 8-star quests

8-star

Finish one of the two following missions:

Hide-and-Freak

Hunt a Khezu

Sub: Wound the Khezu's head

— Man, this guy… A bonafide troll.

Take a Powderstone

Deliver 1 Powderstone

Sub: Hunt an Iodrome

Either of the previous missions will unlock:

In the Pink

Hunt a Pink Rathian

Sub: Wound the Pink Rathian's head

— One of my favorite monsters to hunt. I personally find her more challenging than Azure Rathalos. Whatever you do, stay away from her left cheek… Take her down and you get:

Ladykiller

Hunt a Seltas Queen

Sub: Wound the Seltas Queen's head

— Lets… volt… in! I still remember the first time my cousins saw the docking manuever while playing the Japanese version of the game. 'Wait, did they just combine? That's awesome!' Finishing this also unlocks the Wyceum research center, which will be key later when fighting frenzied and extreme monsters, especially those that make your weapons and bullets bounce.

Nocturnal Commission

Capture a Rathian

— This unlocks a pretty cool cut scene, plus your next urgent.

Urgent: Dance of a Thousand Blades

Hunt a Seregios

Sub: Topple monster while mounted

— Say hello to the flagship monster of Monster Hunter 4G. This, by the way, provides the earliest opportunity to craft those Seregios weapons, which was quite helpful when I started doing Guild Hall quests.

9-star

Say hello to key quests galore. Here's the order that I went through them:

Black Rock Down

Hunt a Black Gravios

Sub: Wound Black Gravios's back

An Omen in the Skies

Hunt an Azure Rathalos

Sub: Deliver 1 Large Wyvern Tear

The Echoing Roar

Hunt a Brute Tigrex

Wound the Brute Tigrex's head

Forge Ahead

Hunt a Stygian Zinogre

Sub: Wound Stygian Zinogre's back

Advanced: Glacier's Bane

Hunt a Brachydios

Sub: Suppress Brachydios's frenzy

Advanced: Tyrant's Maw

Hunt a Deviljho

Sub: Topple Monster While Mounted

These will unlock

Urgent: Death by a Thousand Cuts

Hunt an Apex Seregios

— Whee, apex monsters! Don't forget to use that Wystone.

Urgent: Kushala Kushowdown

Hunt a Rusted Kushala Daora

— This a siege-style battle in Dundorma with your NPC allies. Finish it and you level up your Wystone and unlock 10-star quests, which are the final batch of hunts for offline mode. Enjoy!

GATHERING HALL QUESTS

Say hello to the multiplayer part of MH4U. Yes, you can still solo missions if you want but keep in mind that the monsters will be tougher. For the bulk of these, I basically formed a two-man party with my cousin, which provides just the right balance difficulty-wise. Plus we only had to do the urgents twice as opposed to three or four times with a bigger team. Then again, feel free to do whatever works for you.
